FAQ

What raid sizes does WoW Forever use?
Classic-sized 10-player and 20-player raids — not the 25-player format later expansions used. Blizzard says new dungeons and both raid sizes will keep releasing over the next year.
What are the first new raids?
The launch roadmap lists Barrow Deeps, a new 10-player raid, and Hyjal Summit, a new 20-player raid, both coming in December 2026. A Timbermaw-themed raid has also been teased.
What is the level cap for endgame?
Level 60, permanently. Blizzard has said the cap stays at 60 indefinitely, with new content delivered through a roadmap instead of level increases.
Are there new dungeons at launch?
Yes — Forever includes all-new dungeons, several of which surfaced through achievement listings. Blizzard has not published the complete names and schedules yet.
Do dungeons and raids feed account progression?
Yes. Completing dungeons and raids is one of the six Legacy challenge categories, awarding Legacy Points for the account-wide perk tree.

What does the endgame look like at launch?

World of Warcraft: Forever launches on November 4, 2026 at the classic level 60 cap — which Blizzard says stays there indefinitely. Endgame is Classic-shaped: brand-new dungeons to run on the way up and at max level, and raids sized 10 and 20 players releasing on a public roadmap. The twist versus 2004 is the Legacy system — clearing dungeons and raids is one of the six challenge categories that earn account-wide perks, so even alts benefit from your raid night.

Which raids are confirmed?

The launch roadmap names two December raids, and a third has been teased:

RaidSizeTimingWhat we know
Barrow Deeps10-playerDecember 2026New raid shown on the launch roadmap
Hyjal Summit20-playerDecember 2026New raid shown on the launch roadmap; ties into the renewed Mount Hyjal zone
Timbermaw raidNot announcedTeasedReferenced in BlizzCon coverage as a teased future raid

Both December raids arrive roughly a month after launch — a fast first tier by Classic standards, and consistent with Blizzard’s promise of “all new Dungeons, 10-man, and 20-man Raids releasing over the next year.”

What about dungeons?

Forever ships with all-new dungeons alongside the reimagined world. Several dungeon names surfaced through achievement listings datamined after the announcement, but Blizzard has not published the complete launch dungeon list or its release schedule. What is confirmed: dungeons span the fresh level 1-60 questing experience — the Zephras Isle starting experience and new zones like Riverglades — and the December roadmap content extends them.

How do raids and dungeons fit the Classic+ model?

The endgame loop is deliberately Classic: gear from dungeons feeds raid progression, and raids are the prestige check — now with the Legacy layer underneath. Challenge categories include “Completing Dungeons and Raids” alongside reputations and PvP ranks, so a raid night also pushes your whole account’s perk tree forward. Class mechanics stay on Classic’s 51-point talent trees, covered in the class roster.

Is there anything beyond raids on the roadmap?

Yes — Hardcore mode is coming to Forever (details were promised in a dedicated BlizzCon panel), new zones continue to arrive, and the roadmap frame is “new content being added” indefinitely at level 60. The dated milestones live in the release date & launch guide.
